In August it gave me great pleasure to visit seven other states in the US: Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah. I tried to buy many, many postcards, but when I got home, I realized I should have bought many more. I also took close to 200 photos. This is one. "Phantom Ship" is a tiny island in Crater Lake, in Oregon. The water color, the blue blue water is natural, an outstanding feature of this deep lake.

Katts visited Riga

So yesterday(12.august)I visited Riga.It was my third time there .I love that place.It was a daytrip.

Riga is the capital and largest city of Latvia, a major industrial, commercial, cultural and financial centre of the Baltics, and an important seaport, situated on the mouth of the Daugava. With 715,978 inhabitants (2009) it is the largest city of the Baltic states and third-largest in the Baltic region, behind Saint Petersburg and Stockholm (counting residents within the city limits). Riga's territory covers 307.17 km² (118.60 sq mi) and lies between 1 and 10 metres (3.3 and 33 ft) above sea level,on a flat and sandy plain.

Riga's historical centre has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city is particularly notable for its extensive Jugendstil (German Art Nouveau) architecture, which UNESCO considers to be unparalleled anywhere in the world.

I had soo much fun.I was there with people from my parish.If you have chance then go to Latvia.(Before you must visit.Latvias northen neighbour-Estonia(Igaunija in latvian:))

Internet Friends

I imagine there are some people who say that friends made on the Internet are not "real" friends. To those people I must disagree. The Internet is a modern phenomenon. Nobody has ever been able to make make friends in virtual space before this time. Before the mail system was invented, nobody had ever had pen pals. Before the telephone, there was no phone sex! Oh, off subject! Sorry! The point I am making is that these new types of friendships are just that, new types of real friendships. The world is growing closer. Everyone should realize that we are sharing this earth, have common problems and loves, and we should celebrate that. Make a friend on the other side of the earth, even if the chance you will ever meet is as likely as stones turning into chocolate. Hello World!
